The Original Twilight Café opened in March of 1995 by the first owners of the Sunshine Café on Captiva. It was called Twilight Pasta and specialized in housemade pasta and desserts.
After the first year the name was changed to Twilight Café and
pasta was no longer the focus. The new focus was the Oak Burning Grill. In July of 1996 the Café was purchased by Robert Parks. The current chef stayed on and was given free reign over the menu. The Twilight Café quickly became one of the most respected and awarded restaurants on the Islands.
In 1999 Robert took over as Head Chef, and the reputation of the restaurant as a casual yet upscale café has continues to grow. |
